Introduction to Mini-Planner

Black History Month is the perfect opportunity to emphasize the history and achievements of African Americans in fields ranging from education, medicine, politics, sports and entertainment – and traffic safety. As we celebrate our strong heritage, rich in tradition and honor, let's preserve our history and buckle up ourselves and our loved ones on every trip, every time!

This mini-planner provides materials and resources that can be used to educate all motorists and passengers about the benefits of buckling up. This mini-planner also provides information to help you make sure that children are also correctly restrained in the right safety seat for their age, weight, and/or height.

Join the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in encouraging each of your family members, friends, and loved ones to buckle up on every trip. By working together, we can continue to make history!

Please note: while NHTSA recognizes that certain racial or ethnic groups may use certain terms to identify their members, NHTSA uses the terms “Black” and “African American” interchangeably to describe those who identify with either group.
