The arrival of summer fun also too often brings a dangerous jump in the number of impaired-driving crashes and fatalities on our highways.
That's why three very different and specialized planners have been created to help you reach out to and remind the public to never even think about driving while impaired this summer.
The first planner is built around the "100 Deadly Days of Summer" and supports a summer-long push to remind everyone that any time they plan on using alcohol to always remember to Designate a Sober Driver .
The second planner stresses strong enforcement and is designed for those State and local partners coordinating a highly visible You Drink & Drive. You Lose. enforcement blitz during the deadly three-day Fourth of July weekend. (NOTE: a social norming version of this planner promoting the designated driver message over July 4 th is also included.)
Finally, a highly targeted and specialized third planner has been included to help counter a growing and dangerous trend of parents either hosting or condoning summer parties in their homes where alcohol is being served to minors. Too often this dangerous combination of teens and alcohol results in deadly highway crashes. This planner is designed to help remind all parents that "Those Who Host Lose the Most."
